RELIGION
As the daughter of a Lutheran minister, I grew up eating church-potluck casseroles, memorizing Bible verses, and—for reasons never fully explained to me—gluing macaroni to paper plates. As a graduate student at the University of Chicago Divinity School, where I earned my master’s degree in 1999, I learned about aspects of religious expression from midrashim to the Mahabharata.
Since then I’ve interviewed Episcopal bishops and Hindu swamis, Buddhist photographers and New Thought financial planners, hypnotherapy-practicing pastors and kosher caterers. Want more clips? Just email me.
