Anne Ford is a writer in Chicago whose specialties include travel, religion, health and behavior, and offbeat profiles of everyday people. A former travel editor with Rand McNally, she has written for Parenting, Lake Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Reader, Crain's Chicago Business, and Chicago Social, as well as several Rand McNally publications.

Anne received her B.A. in English and religion from Wittenberg University and her M.A. in religion from the University of Chicago Divinity School. She was born in North Carolina and lived in Chicago, Colorado, Georgia, California, and Ohio before moving back to Chicago in 1996. She has no plans to leave.
